Open Access and Copyright
Open access allows readers to access published scholarship online without a subscription barrier. It does not automatically remove copyright or permit every form of copying, republication, commercial use or adaptation.
Authors & Publication Terms
Rights in an article are governed by the applicable copyright form, publication agreement and any licence notice displayed with the publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the authority to submit and publish all material included in their manuscript.
Access to Published Research
Articles made available through the journal website may be read and accessed online. Any further reuse should comply with the applicable licence, copyright agreement and relevant law.
Quotation, Reproduction & Third-Party Content
Quotation & Citation
Brief quotations and legally permitted research, criticism or review use should include appropriate attribution and citation to the original publication and author.
Reproduction & Republication
Where a proposed use exceeds the applicable licence or lawful exception, including substantial reproduction or republication, written permission should be obtained before use.
Third-Party Material
Images, charts, extracts and other third-party material may be subject to separate rights. Permission may therefore be required from the relevant rights holder.
Copyright & Academic Integrity
White Black Legal expects authors to submit original work, provide accurate attribution and obtain any permissions required for third-party material. Copyright concerns may be reviewed by the editorial team and appropriate action may be taken where necessary.
