White Black Legal International Law Journal seeks to maintain fair editorial decision-making, responsible authorship, confidentiality and academic integrity throughout the publication process.
Editorial board members, reviewers and authors each have responsibilities that support credible scholarly publishing.
Authors should appropriately quote, paraphrase and cite the work of others. Merely listing a source does not cure improper copying. Plagiarism, fabricated references, unattributed reproduction and materially misleading citation practices may result in rejection or further editorial action.
Authorship should be limited to individuals who made a meaningful contribution to the conception, research, analysis, drafting or revision of the work. The corresponding author should ensure that all listed co-authors approve the submitted version.
Editors, reviewers and authors should disclose circumstances that could reasonably affect impartiality or the interpretation of a manuscript. Where a conflict exists, the journal may reassign editorial or review responsibility.
Information about submitted manuscripts should be shared only with persons involved in the editorial, review or publication process as reasonably required. Unpublished material should not be used without appropriate permission.
Scholarly records may require correction when material errors or integrity concerns are identified.
Where an important error is identified, the journal may issue or facilitate an appropriate correction to the publication record.
Allegations involving plagiarism, fabrication, authorship disputes or other substantial integrity issues may be reviewed before action is taken.
